Here is a taste of the stories in this issue. We’ve
got Danny whumping, Jack whumping, team stories, action/adventure,
hurt/comfort, a serving or two of angst and a bit of a Jackcentric focus this
time around. Approximately 126,000+ words.
It’s Not Enough by Nancy Richardson: Jack has
trouble dealing with a mission gone wrong.
Things That Go Bump by Carrie: What appears to be a minor
injury after a mission could turn deadly for Daniel when the loss of his voice
leads to a horrible accident. A novella involving the whole team as they
struggle to help Daniel, Jack and themselves.
Shell Game by ETS: An episode tag to Deadman’s Switch. What exactly did
Arris Boch mean when he said Daniel was worth “a day’s rations”?
Remedy by L.A. Carr: A sequel to Abyss. Jack pursues the only solution he can
think of after the events of Abyss.
A Friend Indeed by Marcia Brin: Daniel and Jack have a heart to
heart after the za’tarc incident.
Lost Soul by
Sheila Paulson: SG-1 encounter a new danger that
leaves Jack unconscious and completely unresponsive while Daniel and Sam are
trapped with him on a seemingly hostile planet.
Translator by K.
Hanna Korossy: In his heart, Daniel Jackson was
foremost and always a translator … and following the incident on Orban,
Daniel’s talent for “translating” Jack O’Neill is sorely needed.
I’m a Civilian by ETS: Some missing scenes and a tag
for Enigma.
Into the Belly of the Lion by Gallagater: Judgment looms for SG-1 and
O’Neill in particular, as the team is captured by a Goa’uld whose vengeance
teaches them a whole new meaning of the phrase “an eye for an eye.” A novella.
Alchemy by Corby: A chance meeting with a small boy helps Daniel reconnect with himself
and his friends in unexpected ways.
Full
color cover. Artwork by Leah Rosenthal, Wilma, Lightfoot, Sgtsiler and Corinna.
